As a top defensive back for the University of Kansas, Kwamie went on to play for the Cardinals, establishing a strong relationship with the organization that would span 8 years. He spent an addintional 2 years collectively with the Chargers and later the Rams racking up an impressive list of career stats that include 650 tackles, 26 interceptions, leading the league in INT's one year and holding the second spot for INT's another. In 1998 he tied an NFL record with 4 interceptions in a single game. Upon retiring from the NFL he went on to serve as the defensive coach and later the defensive coordinator at Mesa Community College. Currently, Kwamie is the president of the NFL Alumni Arizona chapter and also the president of www.TheKwamieLassiterFoundation.org. Today he passes on his expertise to the young athletes at Football University.
