FBU and its Sister Property – The U.S. Army All-American Bowl Featuring the Nation’s Top Seniors on NBC and the U.S. Army National Combine Featuring the Nation’s Top Underclassmen

The founders of FBU built several football platforms to showcase the nation’s top prep football players such as the U.S. Army All-American Bowl on NBC that has featured prep stars such as Reggie Bush and Vince Young as seniors and the U.S. Army National Combine that has featured Ted Ginn Jr. and Tim Tebow as prep underclassmen. Both events are featured in San Antonio every January. Over its eight year history, the U.S. Army All-American Bowl has sent to over 65 athletes the NFL including: Adrian Peterson, Brady Quinn, Reggie Bush, and Vince Young. This past year, 27 alumni were drafted with 5 being selected in the first round. The all star event has been an accurate preview and showcase of tomorrow’s college and NFL stars.

The U.S. Army All-American Bowl features the top college bound seniors, while FBU was created to identify, instruct and announce the next generation of football stars from the ages of 7th grade to rising seniors in high school. Identifying these athletes before high school and training them through high school was a mission of FBU founders. The mission was that many of the nation’s top football players would arrive in San Antonio with their skills fully developed instead of discovering that their speed, strength and quickness was matched physically by many other elite athletes across the country. FBU founders believed that when 4.4 speed meets 4.4 speed and 300 lbs met 300 lbs, skill will be the difference maker. FBU’s mission is to teach this skill in small mini-camp settings utilizing former NFL instructors and players who have a passion to teach.

Many of FBU’s top instructors will once again be on loan to the U.S. Army All-American Bowl to work with our All-Americans and elite underclassmen and help them prepare for the Bowl and for future success.

During the 2007 Army All-American Bowl, many of these same instructors worked with Army All-American quarterbacks from both the East and West teams such as Matt Simms of Don Bosco Prep, University of Florida bound John Brantley, Virginia Tech's Tyrod Taylor, Clemson's Will Korn, Notre Dame bound Jimmy Clausen, Michigan's Ryan Mallett and University of Miami's Nick Fanuzzi.

On game day, NBC Sports called on our instructors to provide fans with a breakdown of the All-American quarterbacks and provide expert commentary of their abilities.

The 2008 Army All American bowl is scheduled for Saturday January 5th, 2008 at the Alamo Dome in San Antonio, TX. Every U.S. Army All-American QB has been selected and we excited to work with the nation’s top prep stars during the biggest showcase of high school football talent –televised nationally on NBC and televised to more than 70 countries around the world.

Army National Combine

The Army National Combine provided Air 7 QBU with the opportunity to provide some of the nation's top underclassmen with the QBU experience. The nation's top underclassmen had the opportunity to listen and learn from Pro QBU professors in both a classroom setting and on the field. Air 7 QBU evaluated all quarterbacks and wide receivers on site and took them through a series of drills.

Air 7 QBU also put on a 3 on 3 challenge for all of the National Combine athletes. The 3 on 3 challenge proved to be one of the most exciting and fun sessions for the athletes who traveled from more than 40 different states to compete. The challenge allowed the athletes to compete on the field and test their skills and talents in a highly competitive format.

Every year the U.S. Army National Combine welcomes the top 500 high school underclassman to partake in the only national high school combine. Combine Alumni include over 100 U.S Army All Americans including Ted Ginn Jr. of the Miami Dolphins and Tim Tebow of the University of Florida.

Air 7 QBU congratulates all of the U.S. Army National Combine student-athletes for their dedication and commitment to the sport. For more information on the U.S. Army National Combine visit www.usarmycombine.com
