FOOTBALL UNIVERSITY CENTRAL OHIO CAMP:
JULY 11- 13, 2014
Football University’s Central Ohio Camp will take place from July 11-13, 2014, at Dublin Scioto High School. FBU is the nation’s most exclusive and elite football camp experience. Although FBU does have an invitation-only policy, due to the elite level of training and athletes, we strongly encourage athletes to request an invite themselves. Please refer to our main invite policy page for more information.
NEW THIS YEAR! - Chris Sailer Kicking and Rubio Long Snapping has partnered with FBU and will attend some Regional camps in the 2014 season. FBU Central Ohio is one of the six camps that both Chris Sailer and Chris Rubio will attend to to train Kickers, Punters and Long Snappers! Read more about Chris Sailer and Chris Rubio.
Change in Helmet Procedure for 2014
For this year's FBU camps, all offensive and defensive linemen are asked to bring their own helmet. Throughout last season, we faced challenges from camp to camp, in properly fitting helmets to some linemen. On several occasions, we were unable to properly fit an athlete. In order to avoid this awkward situation and to keep safety first, we prefer to allow each athlete to bring his own helmet. We will still maintain a reasonable selection of helmets on our trucks, to fit any athletes who do not have or are unable to obtain their helmet prior to camp. In most cases, however, the athlete's comfort and safety will be increased by wearing their own. Thank you, FBU.
FBU Central Ohio Instructors
In 2013, FBU Central Ohio featured 20 former NFL coaches and players instructing FBU athletes with a focus on individual, small-group and technical instructional settings. Coaches headlining the 2013 camp included:
Sports Medicine at Nationwide Children’s Hospital
The sports medicine experts at Nationwide Children’s Hospital are the sports medicine provider for 2014 Football University, providing injury prevention, initial injury management, concussion management and coordination of care with the sports medicine, orthopedics and/or emergency service specialists of Nationwide Children’s. There’s only one sports medicine leader for serious athletes – the sports medicine experts at Nationwide Children’s – and they’re the best equipped to treat concussions, rehab sports injuries or prevent them from happening in the first place. Nationwide Children’s works closely with parents, coaches, athletic trainers and primary care physicians to ensure every athlete receives age-appropriate care, with the goal being to give every athlete the opportunity to perform at the highest level.
