We Value Your Involvement at FBU and Ask You and Your Son to Invest in the Best 18 Hours of His Football Career

Parents of Invited Athletes: Congratulations on your son's selection to Football University! Thank you for taking the time to visit our web site to read about our very special FBU Training Experience that awaits your son. We ask that you tour each part of the web site, especially the videos, to learn and understand the entire FBU experience.

We realize how special your son's football career has been so far and understand how talented he has become. By virtue of his invitation, our selection team has identified him as a promising football talent.

Thinking about his future and the road ahead must be exciting.

We know that behind the accomplishments of our invited athletes, stands a great team providing encouragement along the way. In the end, you are his most important and influential coach.

We understand your son - and you - walk this road together.

As his most trusted coach, we want to speak directly to you about the FBU Experience and how your son can become an FBU athlete.

To start, our FBU athletes eat, sleep and breathe football. They have proven themselves as top football players and consider football their primary sport. They are serious about getting better and desire to play at the college level. They may have excellent coaches but want specialty instruction because their ability craves it.

We created FBU to service your son and his ability. We created FBU to help him prepare for his dream.

The founders of FBU have had the chance to work with the nation's top 80 prep athletes through the U.S. Army All-American Bowl on NBC for the last 10 years. Through our experience, we discovered that there was no elite training program that serviced the nation's best football talent as they progressed from grade school, to high school and then to college. Unlike other countries or sports that developed national academies for its top young athletes, nothing has ever been developed for elite football. Most of our nation's top athletes have never attended the existing national camps, which provided average instruction to average athletes.

FBU was started to identify the nation's top football players from 6th grade through to the 11th grade and provide them with the nation's best instruction from the NFL ranks. To enhance our instruction, the curriculum features the latest technology such as slow motion high definition video. This allows our athletes to view their on-field skills at 500 frames per second. Although the FBU experience will center on elite technical instruction, the three day weekend also includes advanced performance training and testing, nutrition, character development, and classroom instruction. Our NFL instructional staff places additional emphasis on the tremendous amount of work needed to succeed at each level of football. The number of athletes per weekend is limited to 200 (120 High School and 80 Youth) to ensure high quality instruction, frequent repetition, and an athlete instructor ratio of 14:1.

FBU takes place during the "deep off-season" to allow our athletes to apply their training and new skills to spring football, seven on seven competitions and two-a-days.

In total, the FBU experience was designed to provide the best and most memorable instructional experience in your son's young football career. The 18 hours of training put in during the off-season can be the beginning of a lasting relationship, not just three days.

Parent Involvement at FBU: Football University was built to provide parents with a unique opportunity to be a part of the training experience. With informed parents comes the continued development of each individual athlete.

From the start of FBU on Friday night to the end of FBU on Sunday afternoon, we invite parents to sit in on every session. We encourage you to come down to the field to listen to the on-field instruction. Your attendance in the classroom during positional breakout sessions gives parents an inside look at what college and NFL classroom sessions are like. In the classroom you will also observe video analysis of your athlete's mechanics and footwork with High Def (HD) clarity, broken down frame by frame in slow motion at 500 frames per second.

We also invite parents to sit-in during the performance testing and training by Athletic Republic to observe what the experts say about your son's physical ability and potential for improvement.

At the end of the FBU experience, all athletes and parents will receive a private evaluation during an exit interview. This session provides insight to FBU athletes and parents that can be taken home for continued development and supplement his FBU home manual provided to each athlete for year round improvement.

FBU Provides Support to Parents for the College Recruiting Process: Lastly, parents will be invited to attend the FBU Recruiting Seminar. These break out session arms parents with knowledge of the college recruiting process and helps prepare each to handle their son's college decisions. This preparation has had great success in sending athletes to college based on football scholarships. This session, which will reveal the inner workings and dynamics of the recruiting process, is a can't miss seminar. Parents have often responded that "this session alone was worth the price of tuition".

The presentation will also explain how to utilize and leverage the tools for college recruiting provided to FBU athletes such as his his technical FSAT (Football Skills and Technique) profile to be sent to up to 400 colleges and the one-on-one competitive footage which will also be made available to 400 colleges.

The Value and Cost of Attending FBU: We realize that most parents will do whatever they can to support their son's football career, especially after their son has shown such promise on the field.

We also understand that in today's economic climate, money is tight for everyone and there are several choices to make when investing in your son's football career.

We are confident that after investing in an FBU weekend, you will agree with a few thousands other FBU alumni that the three days of 18 hours of instruction (valued at $30 per hour) with the NFL's best was the best football training experience in your son's career and well worth the cost of attending. FBU may be a bit more expensive than the average national camp but we feel the quality and experience is vastly different. Your son will understand that difference and it will show on the field during his season.

To help ease the process, FBU chose to travel to 32 cities this year (up from 18) to help alleviate the burden of long distance travel costs.

We also started the invitation process earlier so families can plan on attending and budgeting towards camp costs. A $200 down payment is required to hold your spot with the balance due one month prior to your son's attendance at FBU.

We have tried to help where we can and understand the economic pressures on all of us in these tough times.

Once you finish reading the materials sent to you in your invitation packet and clicking through the web site, we ask that you call us with any questions at (973-366-5027). We have also had several FBU parents who offered (unpaid) to talk with any newly invited FBU athlete and parent to better understand the experience. We would be happy to arrange that call.

We hope that you join the FBU family; it is an opportunity for your son that you do not want to pass up.

What Parents, Coaches and Students are Saying about FBU

"My son was invited to FBU Houston. It was the best technical football instruction in the country, and unlike any other football experience I have seen in my long football career."
Ken Houston, NFL Hall of Fame Defensive Back, Washington Redskins and parent of Houston Camper

"I'm glad my son got the opportunity to attend Football University. The camp and coaching was great; it's not like any other camp I've seen."
Marty Mornhinweg, Assistant Head Coach of the Philadelphia Eagles and Parent of an FBU Philadelphia camper.

"This summer football university camp was the best experience of my son Tajh Boyd's football career so far. As a parent and being there on site to watch my son being trained and teach in the class room and on the field by some of the best coaches in America was very rewarding...the  way  each  coach breaks down your position that you play and focus on mechanics  technique  is awesome ...the fun up beat tempo made you feel like you were in a real game and makes it a fun two- day event.... Every kid that loves and plays football should attend this event... Thanks  FBU!"
Tim Boyd - Parent of Tajh Boyd, U.S. Army All-American who was at the Raleigh, NC camp and Top Gun Camper.

"We had a good time at that camp and Stephen certainly benefited from it.  I appreciate you keeping up with him.  He has picked up a couple of offers, his first D-1 this week from New Mexico State.  He is going to get a chance to play at the next level and a lot of people have had something to do with that, including FBU.  Thanks again!"
Steve Warren, Head Football Coach/Athletic Coordinator Abilene High School near Dallas, Texas on his son who attended the Dallas Camp

On behalf of my son (Tony Salas / United High - Laredo, TX) and myself we want to Thank you, coaches, and staff for a great camp. It was an awesome experience to be around outstanding coaches and former NFL players. We defiantly got some good feed back and proper techniques that we will implement in his work outs from now on. Once again Great Job...I will defiantly promote your camp to other players keep up the good work with our premier youth football players."
Jose A. Salas, Parent of Tony Salas from the San Antonio Camp.

"My son, Bud Guinn (#65), attended the camp this weekend at Inderkum High in Sacramento, CA, and it was EXCELLENT!!!!  Very organized, very detail oriented, and a wealth of education for all...thank you so much...can you please inform of how my son was chosen or selected for this camp...we would like to send a thank you note to those involved...again thank you very much!!!"
Raquel Guinn, Parent of Bud Guinn from the Sacramento Camp.

On FBU Instructor Richard Bartel: "I wanted to thank you for putting on an excellent camp in Dallas this past year. I'm sure the other camps went just as well. Instructor Richard Bartel was extremely helpful in the development of Korbet in his style and confidence. Richard had mentioned to us that all Korbet needed was a great deal of repetitions with his receivers to excel and he was correct."
David Moore, Parent of Korbet Moore at the Dallas Camp

On Kicking Instructor Paul Woodside:  "Although it is our nature is to avoid change and Paul was certainly reluctant that weekend you would be pleased to know he took your lessons and embraced the changes you suggested. His improvement is noticeable especially in Field Goals. He has gained an additional 5 yards. That I am certain is a direct result from your instruction."
Patrick O'Neill, Parent of Paul O'Neill from the Washington, DC camp

"I wanted to let you know again that I learned a lot from FBU and to go 9 of 9 for 174 yards and 1 TD on ESPN 2 was great. Thanks for teaching me the finer points of throwing the football."
Tyler Campbell - Student from Washington, DC Camp

"When I went into Eric's room to say good night - he had your comments down on paper and on his wall in regards to things to work on. Thanks for your time and we look forward to working out with you in the spring."
Dow Kump - Parent of Eric Kump from Washington, DC camp

"My son Rodney "DJ" Tyson attended your camp in Orlando this past weekend and I wanted to take a few moments to thank you for the excellent training he received. He was a Running back and the training he got from Rodney Hampton and Lorenzo White was absolutely phenomenal! Never has DJ received such quality instruction at any of the other camps he has attended. He talked about the things he learned at camp for the entire 8 hours it took us to travel back home to Augusta, Georgia."
Rodney Tyson, Sr - Parent of Orlando Student DJ Tyson.

"Thank you very much for inviting my son Brian Hudson to your camp in Orlando. It was definitely one of the best QB camps we've been to if not THE best. As successful as your staff has been in their personal lives with all their own accolades, they put all that aside and really cared about not only teaching the kids about being a better football player. but making a positive difference in a kid's life.  Everything ran like clockwork and seemed to cover all the bases. He was bummed out when it had to end. The camp was definitely "AS ADVERTISED"."
Wayne Hudson - Parent of Orlando QB Brian Hudson.

On the Parent Experience: "We appreciate the Literature - The inspirational words of encouragement - The evaluation at the end of the program (Leaves you with an honest understanding of where your child needs to improve) - The encouraged parent involvement (unheard of in our experience) - At every turn always with a smile we heard positive words; from your coaches and employees. We would recommend Football University camps to all parents of football athletes."
Steve and Terral Adams - Parents from Sacramento Camp

"My son learned more, heck I learned more about his position (Quarterback) in those 2 days than I new ever existed. We are truly blessed and fortunate to have been able to participate in the camp. I can not say enough about the individual coaches that worked with the youth 6-8 grade QB group, they provided all of the proper tools to be great instructors, Patience, Knowledge, and Enthusiasm. FBU IS DOING IT RIGHT!"
Reese Johnson - Parent from Orlando Camp

"This camp not only helped my son, Kurt Lambert, II, but it helped me as a little league coach, and impressed my wife so much that she went from dropping us off (yeah right) to sitting in every class and understanding routes, drills, and coverages.  My wife has always been in my corner as my team mom on my football team but this experience at FBU will help me as a coach because she is now mentally aware of the game because she understands it more and is so excited about learning coverages "
Kurt P. Lambert, Sr. Parent of Kurt Lambert Jr. on the FBU Parent Experience

My son did attend the Houston camp last year. It is the best camp he has ever attended. He had an excellent season this past year. He was the starting quarterback for the 7th grade A team. He threw the football extremely well from all launch points. He had 13 passing TDs and 6 rushing TDs in 5 games. (Shortened season due to Hurricane Ike) We did not keep yardage. He led his team to a 3-2 record.

I'm a high school football coach and have been coaching quarterbacks for the past 15 years. What you guys have going with your instructional camps is something great. The intense and mechanically sound instruction the players get makes your camp worth attending.
Sam Smith, Tomball High School, Offensive Coordinator/QB
