Biography
Position: Defensive Linemen
Keith Rucker’s collegiate career was nothing less than a series of athletic accolades. At Ohio Wesleyan, Rucker gained All-American honors, highlights by first-team Kodak honors in 1991 and AP Little All-America citations in 1990 and 1991. On top of his football prowess, Rucker was a 7x All-American nominee in track and field in the shot put and discus. He was inducted into the Ohio Wesleyan Hall of Fame in 2003.
Rucker joined the Phoenix Cardinals for the 1992-1993 season. After his stint with the Cardinals, Rucker went on to play defensive tackle for the Cincinnati Bengals, Philadelphia Eagles, Washington Redskins and finished out his NFL career with the Kansas City Chiefs in 1997.
After his playing career, Rucker went on to coach the defensive line at his alma mater Ohio Wesleyan for the duration of the 2000 season. After the 2000 season, Rucker went on to coach at Mount Healthy High School in Cincinnati, Ohio for three seasons. Rucker coached at other high schools such as Walnut Hills, Loveland, and Aiken. After his high school coaching stretch, Rucker returned to his alma mater Ohio Wesleyan in 2012 to coach the defensive line.
Rucker was a 1992 graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University and is currently an assistant coach at his alma mater.
