Position: Running Backs

Football University running backs coach Lamont Jordan brings a decade of NFL experience to show young running backs what it takes to be a NFL back. Jordan played running back for University of Maryland for four seasons. Jordan finished as runner-up for the ACC Rookie of the Year award in 1997. As a junior Jordan was a semi-finalist for the Doak Walker Award and was awarded with All-ACC selection. The same season Jordan surpassed Maryland's single-season rushing record with 1,632 yards and was one of four players in the NCAA to average over six yards per carry.

Jordan was selected by the Jets in the 2nd round pick with the 49th pick of the 2001 NFL Draft. Jordan spent four years as a member of the Jets, before heading to the Oakland Raiders where he led all running backs in receptions with 70 in 2005. Jordan also played for the Patriots and Broncos. He ended his career with 28 rushing touchdowns and 3,734 yards.
