Like any gathering of top athletes, FBU certainly expects local, regional, as well as national media to be active in covering the camp, its invited athletes, and top instructors who played and coached in the NFL.
For invited athletes and parents, please take note that FBU will enforce a privacy and security policy in order to insure each elite athlete has the proper space to learn during each mini-camp. Without the media glare surrounding our selected athletes, FBU will be a safe haven for elite football instruction.
FBU is a learning institution, all access to media will be monitored and managed by FBU staff and security during the mini-camp weekend. All credentialed media will be allowed an invitational session to attend the mini-camp on Friday afternoon to talk with instructors before the camp officially begins. Media availability will be made to select athletes for thirty minutes after the final whistle of each camp. Any other media requests of athletes or instructors during the mini-camp sessions will be made on a case by case basis and requested only through FBU’s media representative present at each camp.
NFL Agents and College Coaches:
No NFL certified agent or representatives of such agents will be permitted on camp grounds. No un-credentialed media will be allowed to interview or photograph FBU students. College coaches will be allowed to observe all on-field activity from the stands provided they are credentialed and are observing on-field activity as authorized and permitted by NCAA rules and regulations.
Pictures and Autographs:
At the end of each camp, all FBU athletes, and their immediate family members, will have the opportunity to take pictures with and get autographs from their FBU instructors. We ask that no other picture taking or autograph requests take place until then to help all 200 invited campers and their instructors to complete their training on schedule. Given the extensive curriculum jammed into three days, it is important that every instructor and athlete have the chance to train through each skill station and through each classroom session unencumbered.
Televising Camps:
Given the high level of interest by regional and local sports networks from around the country, FBU expects each camp to be televised via a one hour regional or local television show. Before appearing on such show, all invited athletes must sign a waiver with their parent (if a minor) authorizing the use of their name and likeness. FBU will be the party who will work with all television producers from camp to camp and provide relevant on-field video footage and names of invited athletes. As FBU expects that each show features top players at each position and at each grade level with commentary by FBU’s instructors, FBU does not ensure or guarantee that each athlete will be featured. Each feature, interview, short biography, and segment inserted into any television program will be at the discretion of each television producer along with consent of FBU.
Annual FBU Yearbook:
The annual yearbook profiling all camp attendees will be made available to college coaches, college scouts, and the media upon request after all the camps are completed and publication is complete. A copy of the FBU Yearbook will also be provided to the Forbes Report, a recruiting service and partner to FBU, which provides recruiting analysis of more than 1,000 high school athletes to college coaches (with no costs to athletes).
We thank for your adherence and understanding to the above security and publicity policies. We believe they will make for a smooth running mini-camp for all invited athletes, instructors, parents, and media. |
