TOP GUN

TOP GUN athletes are given the unique opportunity to practice the techniques and skills they have been taught against athletes who are as big, as strong, as fast, and as gifted as they are.

They also are blessed with the chance to impress the best group of NFL faculty ever assembled at one camp. The almost 80 members of the coaching staff have over 700 years of combined NFL coaching and playing experience! These coaches share their immense knowledge of the game to the athletes through on-field drills as well as detailed classroom film breakdowns.

Every year at TOP GUN, several rising seniors are picked to play in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl, and many more participants are selected for the Eastbay Youth All-American Bowl.

FBU TOP GUN will feature guest speakers Myron Rolle and Blake Leeper

Myron Rolle is a former American football safety. He is a U.S. Army All American Alumni from 2006.  He went onto play college football at Florida State where he was awarded a Rhodes scholarship and studied at St. Edmund Hall, Oxford University for the 2009-2010 academic year to earn a Master of Science in Medical Anthropology. Sports Medicine at Nationwide Children’s Hospital

The sports medicine experts at Nationwide Children’s Hospital are the sports medicine provider for 2014 Football University, providing injury prevention, initial injury management, concussion management and coordination of care with the sports medicine, orthopedics and/or emergency service specialists of Nationwide Children’s. There’s only one sports medicine leader for serious athletes – the sports medicine experts at Nationwide Children’s – and they’re the best equipped to treat concussions, rehab sports injuries or prevent them from happening in the first place. Nationwide Children’s works closely with parents, coaches, athletic trainers and primary care physicians to ensure every athlete receives age-appropriate care, with the goal being to give every athlete the opportunity to perform at the highest level. For more information about their multiple central Ohio locations, visit www.NationwideChildrens.org/Sports-Medicine.

TOP GUN ATTRACTS NATIONAL & REGIONAL MEDIA:  TOP GUN is also well attended by members of the media, including athlete's hometown papers, local Ohio newspaper and TV stations, and national outlets like 247Sports and Sporting News. Alaska's Fairbanks Daily News Miner ran a story on their local athlete who made quite an impression with NFL coaches at TOP GUN. The story generated much local buzz, garnering interaction from thousands of indivduals. For more TOP GUN media coverage, please visit our "In the News" section.
